My realitives said they would give me money to get out ... I said no way you'll get me out of the truck.... so I have to stop typing it time for my sponge bath excuse me...
I think we've finally found an '04 F150 that's gonna have a really bad resale value.

BHibbs, and everyone else....

I would be more than happy to discuss issues about Fords and Hemis, even Chevy's. I bought a Ram with the 5.9l gas motor. Ran well but the Hemi with 100 more HP and better gas milage was too much to pass up. I would have looked at Ford but the power wasn't there, and Chevy at the time didn't offer anything with the 6.0l that I wanted. I have a short bed, regular cab 1500. To get the big motors, or more horsepower I could go to Ford or Chevy but I would have had to spend alot more $$. My Dodge cost 22,000. The Lightning would be a choice, but again the cost was out of my league. Go to the Dodge talk site, half those folks are complaining about thier trucks. So all is not right in Dodge land. I think I got lucky, my truck performs very well, and with 7000 miles, I think things will continue to go well. I welcome any friendly barbs, and in the Spring those of you who are in OK can meet me at Thunder Valley to see who can do what on the strip. . I did buy my truck for work, I just haven't got around to it yet, so for now I am just enjoying it. I also welcome any questions about my Dodge.....

Party On People!!!

Thunder Valley is a 1/4 mile strip south of Noble. Noble is just South of Norman. Right off SE12th I think in that area though it may be called Hwy77. If you have ever heard of Sooner road it is the same thing. Pretty good set up. They usually have "test and tune" days, $15.00, you can run as many times as you can get in line. My best time is 14.79@90.54. I am the one I referred to in my first post. I have a KN+Flowmaster 40 series (Thor) and I run Royal Purple synthetic. Otherwise its stock. I have been eyeing a set of DOUGS Headers, but they are expensive. I have 17" wheels with 3.55 gears. Open rear but I manage traction some how.... I think the TCM helps with that.

Heh heh.. Sounds good. I don't know if my Supercrew 4x4 with Bigger tires would do as good to a regular cab Hemi. I guess I should have read more about your truck first. Oh well, I'm a good sport. I'd still line em up.

Ford's gonna have a lot of fun building some "fast" trucks with this new engine though.

Dodge does make a good truck for the money. My buddy got a base model 1500 with a V8 (340 or something?) for 17,000. It looks cool and is pretty fast. Not very refined but hey, 17,000! I could have gotten two of them for the price of my FX4 Screw. I'd still take the Screw though.

Yeah, refined is not in my description of the Dodge, if I run over a nickle I will feel it. I does handle well, just VERY connected to the road. Shane

I don't know, I've never been in to Hype whether it be about trucks, Cars, Motor Oil, oil filters and all the stuff that gets hyped over and over again. But sometimes I look at my 04 Screw and say to myself, "I don't know if I really like that look" other times I look at it and say "That's a nice rig". I Def don't like that *** high look and going to get it leveled out ASAP

Only other complain..The seats S U C K ! After 45 Minutes of driving, my rear end is HURTING !

Yep, I know exactly where you are. I use to live on Sooner Road and S.E. 44th near Tinker Field.

Graduated from Midwest City High. Won't say when.

Power Roof; Power Slider; Power Pedals; Power Seat; Dual Heated Seats; Wes.....

dual heated seats? in the 2004 150 brochure it says those are only optional on the larait. did they makes those available on the fx4?

i think i am going to get a screw fx4 instead of the 03-04 expedition (gf says the expo is redundant with the 4 runner she owns, fine with me )

Call me an idiot if you want to, but my truck has stood up to that abuse. Has 103k and counting on the odometer, hehe.

this is just a little note i found on line at msnbc about the F-150.

"It may surprise you, but the best-selling vehicle in the country isn't a minivan or a SUV -- it's a truck. The Ford F-150 out-sells every other car, van, SUV or truck on the road."

The entire article was about the the crash testing of the 01 and 04 F-150 here is the link. to the rest of the artical. It aired on Friday Dec 19th.
