Arrow Audiophile specs?

I did a search and found alot of different responses on exactly what you get with the Audiophile system. I was hoping someone here could provide me with detailed information like: How many speakers you get, total watts, name brand of the speakers, etc.

Thanks!

E

Components of the system from Ford

The 6-disc in-dash player contains:
* Tune/seek/scan
* 6 AM/12FM presets
* Bass/treble/balance/fade
* Dedicated clock and frequency display
* 80-watt, 4-channel amplifier
* 7 speakers
* Speed-compensated volume control
* Mute
* Integral 6-CD player
* CD play/rewind/fast forward/eject
* CD Compression - activates a circuit that reduces the dynamic range of the CD to help overcome road noise. Compression works by reducing the volume of the loudest passages of music and by increasing the volume of the lowest level passages of music
* CD shuffle tracks on one disc (will not shuffle between discs)
* CD repeat/scan/previous/next

The Audiophile additions are:
* Audiophile Equalized Radio - optimized for each cab style. Driver or all-seat EQ selectable
* Digital Signal Processing (DSP) ambiance. This feature gives the feeling of "being there" to your music, creating increased clarity as well as an open and spacious feel to the music
* Subwoofer with 90-watt external amplifier
* Audiophile 2-way speaker system - optimally placed midrange and tweeter in each front door
* Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS) - the radio will decode the data stream broadcast by FM stations per the United States RBDS Standard from the National Association of Broadcasters. The radio supports:
- Show program service name
- Show format type
- Seek/scan for traffic program
- Seek/scan for format type
- Traffic announcement
- Emergency alert announcement

Jackslapp,

Any idea who actually makes the speakers Viseton uses for the Audiophile systems in the '04s? I've searched all the posts here as well as the entire Viseton web site and it does not specify. They use Boston Acoustics in some of their systems but do not say for sure who makes the ones put in the F-150. Are they just Ford OEMs with Viseton's sub?

I'm more than pleased with mine but am just curious. Ford is actually living up to what they used to call "Premium Audio."

From the description of "Premium branded audio."

"Premium Branded Audio: A best in calss solution combining Visteon's knowledge of automotive acoustics and Digital Signal Processing with Boston Acoustics high quality speakers, this system provides the technophile with a peerless automotive audio system."

Whether it extends to the audiophile system in the F150 is unclear.

I have the "Premium Audio" in my Expy and I doubt the it is anything close to the Audiophile. If you have the chance to get the Audiophile get it!!!!! I wish it was available for the XLT. I am very impressed with the Quality of what they offer for the price.

The basic (non-audiophile) system has 4 speakers. Two in the front doors, and two in the rear doors (at least for a SCab and SCrew, not sure about regular cab)

I see by the link that Visteon manufactured the audiophile system, so how come the quick reference manual refers to the audiophile as a Pioneer audio system? Does Visteon use Pioneer componenets?

Im not sure about the AMBIANCE feature. It makes no audible difference to me, and I have pretty good hearing. Anyone else have the same experience?

Also, the audiophile is bad ***, but just wondering why ford did not go with a name brand? I know chevy has Bose, Dodge has Infinity, and the POS Titan has Rockford Fosgate. I have not heard the Titans so Im not sure how it sounds. I did notice though that the titans cab echos inside. Probably for acustics.

Pioneer is a possibility.

Popo: There is a speaker in each of the four doors of my SuperCab, plus a smaller one (possibly tweeters) in each of the front doors. The sub is the 7th and its under the rear seat. The amp is also under the seat with the sub.

I have the non-audiophile system in my screw. Where is the seventh speaker, which I assume is a sub? I have looked around in the cab and found nothing. Also where is the amp?
