Aftermarket Chrome Grille Surround?

Hey Everyone, first post... I just purchased a 2004 XLT Supercrew in Black and I love it except one thing, I wish it had the crome grille surrond that the Lariat has and was wondering if anyone has been an aftermarket replacement for this?

Thanks,
Anthony

Why not just order a Lariat surround at the Ford parts dept?

You can not get the surround seperately. However, the price of the whole grill itself is not that steep. It costs about $175 from the dealer. I replaced my FX4 grill with the XLT grill. I prefer the honeycomb grill. When you order it, it comes in the correct color (except Lariat, which is chrome).

Hey Kingfish.... I would love to buy the FX4 grill from you if you are interested in selling it.

Please let me know

Sorry, I am hanging on to it just in case. Also it would probably cost more to buy, ship, and paint than what it would cost from the dealer.

Hey smart guys, Note that the XL also has the chrome grill surround....I don't know if it is indeed cheaper, but the inner part of the grill on the XL is a lot simpler. I'm guessing you could get a better deal.

Yeah...and then add a billet or SS Speed Grill to ease the cleaning process since ALL of the '04 grills have some (more or less) difficult-to-clean honeycomb.

When I checked the prices, I thought they were all the same. I may be wrong, but that was the impression I got.
