Has any one removed the Ford ovel on their tailgate yet. I am trying to remove mine & it seams really stuck on there hard. Is it screwed on from the inside???

 

Not sure but you can remove the panel on the inside of the tailgate and check it out.

 

Please let us know how this turns out. I much prefer the location of the emblem on the lower right side, if it has to be anywhere. I'd consider removing mine (when I get my truck) if it doesn't leave a big messy spot.

 

To those who plan on removing the Blue Oval...what will y'all do about the oval indent on the tailgate?

Sort of on topic, I saw a auction on Ebay to dress up that area. What do you think?

I hate to say it but that's the one and only thing that I've found that I really don't like about the new F-150...

I don't mind that it's centered but, did they have to make it such a billboard?


My hunch is that it would be fairly easy to shave and fill the oval depression but, then that leaves the tailgate with no emblem... what then? I'd like to have one back there...

Thats EXACTLY what I was gonna do w/ my emplem, but with the "flame" I have, I wll need to remove the emplem & attach the flame underneth the emplem.

 

Has anyone removed the F150 on the tailgate? Is it just put on with adhesive? How about the one on the front fender? I would like to remove these and leave the blue oval since it will still have the oval in the tailgate.

 

the older models just used double sided tape try getting some fishing line in behind and it saw it off

 

I pulled both fender badges & the tailgate badge off mine to use assitone(sp) on them. There are 2 locater holes & 1 large hole under all 3.
