Toolboxes

Looking to add a toolbox, but I'm having a hard time deciding which way to go; black, polished aluminum or painted to match the truck.

So,

Anyone out there have a dark shadow gray '04 Scab with a toolbox?

What style?

How's it look? (Pretty good or just OK)

Pics?

Thanks,

Scott

My frined has a black diamond plate with his black truck, and it looks sweet. Whatever you do, spend the extra cash for a diamond plate, from everywhere I have heard they will last in better condition.

I see you have XL trim. (oops, I see your profile is for you old truck - so this may be void)

Either silver or black would look good.

When I was getting my truck I said I would get silver if I got chrome bumpers and black if body color.

I do not think a painted (to match truck) box would hold up as well as the powdercoat they put on them.

Only difference other than looks, silver does not get hot inside from the sun.

I will probably get one like Bigsherm77's for my Blue FX4.

I've been wondering about a bed box vs an over the rail. BigSherm's looks pretty good, I didn't think about the bed being deeper than others so color really wouldn't matter. Still room for a tonneau cover too.

I've edited my profile too, thanks for the HU James.

Weatherguard #127-5 on my truck. A very nice box with a durable powder coat finish.

It makes the view out of the rear window even worse than before, but as a contractor I need a fairly large box with space below for drywall, lumber, etc. Thank god for huge side view mirrors....
