Can't Decide on a Color! Help!
I've been following this forum for a couple of months now, since I decided to sell my '01 Expedition, and buy an '04 F150 Lariat S-Crew. I'm now ready to order, but I can't make up my darned mind about the exterior color. I have it narrowed down to two choices, solid Arizona Beige, or Two Tone Wedgewood Blue with Arizona Beige trim.
I know it's all about personal preferences, but I'd like to hear from some of you that own the above colors. Does the blue show dirt more that the beige? Do the painted bumpers chip easily from road debris? Will they fade or age faster than the body coat? What do you guys think?

Biege is the way to go. Will last alot longer... and frankly the blue just flat looks bad on the F150 IMO.
Personaly I like Shadow gray the best, and picked white for my truck as Lariat isn't avalible in gray and white is all but cop proof.

I have the Wedgewood Blue/Arizona Beige combo on my Lariat SuperCrew and I couldn't be more satisfied. For one thing, I just like blue period. Secondly, the Wedgewood is light enough that it doesn't show dirt easily. The wedgewood blue must be popular in my area. Yesterday as I was going through a security checkpoint at the National Institutes of Health, the security guard asked me if that was the only color they came in because every 2004 F-150 he'd seen had been wedgewood blue. I haven't seen any others myself.

I have a solid Az Beige Lariat Screw...I love this color, but don't want to see too many of them around here! (yeah, right)
I actually went in looking for a blue one, but decided against it after seeing in person. I really don't care for the color on this rig...just my personal preference. I wasn't entirely sure about the AZ color either, but I really like it now.
As for showing dirt, etc. I think the beige will show much less than the darker blue. I've been really surprised how well it hides it. There is a lot of construction in my area with lots of dirt in the air. The begie is almost as good as my previosu white one was.
Enjoy and good luck!

Your truck description has the exact options I'm looking for. You must have bought the last one in So. Cal....my dealer said that I should just order one, cause there are none any where

As you may, or may not, know......I have already had 2 '04 Lariats.
I actually think the choice of colour on these Trucks with modern paint techniques is pretty pathetic.
The only worse choice I think, comes when you buy a Saab !!!
Some manufacturers have woken up to the fact that color is pretty high on most peoples list of priorities, and there are some who run programs to enable customers to have pretty well what paint they want.
However as we can't do diddley squat about it except whinge....and we've done plenty of that...we have to take what's presented to us.
I wanted the Arizona beige to start with (very early on) but couldn't get the features I wanted so went with Toreador Red/Beige.
Also I felt the one color would make it too "slab sided".
The two tone was as near as I could get to my previous Chestnut/Arizona King Ranch.
At first I was very happy with it, but I did notice it was very difficult to keep clean, and the couple of chips I got did not touch in easily or well.
So...when I had the chance I traded for the Arizona 4x4 (earlier this week), and already I see the difference in dust etc. not showing nearly so much.
Plus the chrome bumper provides a nice contrast.
Also the very same people who have seen the 04 two tone around for 2 months and barely mentioned it, are now commenting on the Arizona Beige, and saying how nice it looks.
Most important I feel happier with it (And it doesn't look slab sided).
However, color is a very personal thing, otherwise Henry's model T would still rule in Black.
So go with what makes YOU feel good, not with what others say, though of course other opinions might bring to mind things you may not otherwise have considered.
(Steer clear of pink though !)

Lenticular - I agree with your sentiments on paint selection. I ordered mine in beige for the dirt hiding advantages (I'm lazy and don't wash vehicles much!). But I would have preferred the grey. It isn't available on a Lariat. Go figure.

. 2nd choice: Blazing Yellow 3rd choice: Black 4th: White
