Just installed new Ford Badges.

As regular 'customers' will know I just got my second '04., in Arizona Beige.

I am not a particular fan of the new large Ford ovals and to my mind the blue clashes with some colors.

Anyway I got some decals from E bay to try out and think they really do the business.
OK they are not badges as such and I do know the procedure for taking the badges apart and doing them for real, but in all honesty I've got better things to do with my limited time on these shores.

Anyway here are the pics....the badges almost have a 'graphite' look to them and I feel compliment the color of the truck.

Lenticular,

Thanks for posting this. They look like they are pretty good quality decals. Did you do the badge on the tailgate, too?

I will indeed be doing the tailgate...I waited to get the one decal first to check the colour and quality.
Now I can see what it is like I will get another for the rear.

Long term quality and weather resistence remains to be seen but at the price they could be replaced every so often., though I somehow think that will be un-necessary.

Those are very cool looking!! If I ever manage to get one of the new trucks (I'm working on it!), I will seriously consider getting those to adorn it. BTW, how difficult are they to replace?

Cheers.

So is this a decal (sticker) or is it a 3 dimensional logo replacement?

It is just a very high quality well made decal that sticks right over the Ford Emblem.

Time to install....about 10 seconds.

BUT you have to get it right first time...it helps that the decal is EXACTLY the same size as the blue part of the oval, and sits slightly deeper, and within, the chrome effect edge.

Question?

So is the "Ford" lettering part of the decal or is it the emblem & the decal is cut out to allow the emblem to be seen?

Congrats on your 2nd '04, I told the wife about it & now each time a commercial comes on the tv telling how much off & how low the financing she points it out to me.

It's on E-Bay as we speak:

Nevermind, auction ended with buy-it-now. I would still contact the seller and ask for a couple. Offer $9.95 x 2 and sh. I'll bet they would bite. He wouldn't have to pay any Ebay listing fees for your sale.

I have emailed the seller to see if I can get them with solid black background. If not I will purchase ones like these. They look good.

EErrrr...sorry...the "Buy It Now" was me getting the one for the back of the truck as mentioned above !!!!

I'm sure more will appear though and I have E mailed the guy asking if he would like me to publish a link to his decals.

The Ford lettering is part of the decal but it almost looks 3D !

Cheers

PS The Guy just E Mailed me and seems willing to change designs/lettering etc.

Anyone who searches in vain for these items on EBay.....

Just log onto EBay.com then in the general search type...

Talking I just snagged the next one!!

Thanks for the heads up on where to find these decals. I just hit the buy it now button for the next one that was just listed on Ebay.

My new Screw hasn't been built yet so I can't run out and look, but is is safe to assume that the rear Blue Oval is the same size as the front?

Surely they are the same....

At least I just ordered a second one for the rear on that basis.

I hadn't thought to check the size of the ovals front and back, but they have got to be the same....haven't they ?!

Lenticular, did you order directly from the seller without going through ebay? If so, how much was the second one? I would like a second one also.

Lenticular,

Don't fear. I checked earlier today and they are the same size (9" x 3.5", I believe).
