Just the floor vents?...or the door mounted (next to the windows) vents too?....I posted in another topic that I would like to just be able to have it come out of the floor and not the doors too...it blows pretty much right in my face from the doors.....and if I wanted bi-level heat...I'd select bi-level heat. Believe it or not I haven't even used my auto climate control since I've had the truck (picked up 10-8-03) because I really don't care for the auto climate control (had it in another vehicle) because its always running.

Beaver,

Keep in mind that A/C will show in the display anytime the Auto mode is selected provided the outside temp is above approximately 34F.

As for air blowing through just the floor vents, the blend doors will direct air to different duct outlets based on the interior temp and setting. Above a setting of approximately 70F or so, you're in a heating mode and so it normally funnels about 80-90% of that through the floor ducts with about another 10% coming out the side windows/door vents as Geo notes. Below that, you're normally in a cooling mode and it will then direct most of the airflow out the round dash vents.

Again, not an exact science but that the way it generally works with the Ford EATC systems.
