I was Lurking around posts till now, finally recieved a VIN Today.

Salesman told me Dec 5th, then Dec 20th. My guess is Jan 5th.

So, I ordered this truck on 10/28 and nothing till 12/5.

Can anyone guess why? Am I going to end up waiting till Feb?

To think the salesman said I couldn't get the DVD cause it is "Late availability". Sounds like the whole truck is "Late availability".

I ordered on 11/05/03 and have yet to get a VIN. Last report from dealer was 12/08/03 UNSCH/CLEAR which means truck is currently unscheduled and all components are in-stock/available. I am also being told by my dealer that the plants (Norfolk and KC) will close the last two weeks of this year for the holidays. I think your Feb. estimate is closer to the truth. Without a VIN on 12/11/03 I know Santa isn't bringing a truck with him for me. The bright side is I won't have to pay any tax for 2003.

 

I ordered 10/10 and didn't get my VIN for six weeks. Your case isn't unusual at all. Feb is probably a good guess at this point. I know your pain, they told me 4-6 weeks, it's been almost 9 weeks already and it's just getting built this week (I hope).

 

Any chance there is an update?

Hoping for some good news goin into xmas.
