Will you be my friend!

New to the forum, I just sold my 2001 chevy custom show truck. I will be coming to the Ford side soon. I am going to purchase my new truck in the next few weeks. I like the advantages to the x-plan purchasing program. I have one problem I need a friend to sponsor me so I can get the Pin # to use the x-plan. The lady I spoke to from ford said it can be anyone, so long as they sponsor me. Can one of you who qualify sponsor me? Thanks in advance!

This is what I did to get X plan. Buy a few stocks in Ford (I got 10 shares) and as a new stockholder you can get x plan. The stock price is about 11.00 per share. If you are interested in doing that I have some of the forms you will need to get the pin number. Email me if interested. Thanks

reddrig...many on this forum have purchased their new F150s at dealer's invoice with a waiver of the FDAF ($295). That price will put you at under X-plan. Can we assume that you have approached the Fleet Manager at your local dealer and could not purchase at invoice? Seldom can y'all get as good a deal if you're dealing with a salesperson on the sales floor because you'll be paying his commission also.

I just got the name and number of my local fleet manager. I am going to try that approach, If that fails I will go with the x-plan. I'm sure he can help me out. Your right I don't want to deal at the sales level, what a hassle!

I own some shares of Ford's preferred stock and didn't know that I could get X-plan. How do you go about getting the PIN if you own stock?

Thanks,
E

Call this # 1 800 555 5259 or send a email to Stockinf@ford.com with a copy of your monthly statement that shows stock ownership. It was as simple as that for me. They emailed me the pin in 1 day. You can also fax it by calling and getting the fax number. Good luck

Excellent triple post, 04xlt!

I'm not sure about the "apple" thing, but my salesman did give me a 15% off card to use on any purchases from the parts department. Your dealership may offer something similar. Or you could just drag the saleman over to the parts counter and have him get you dealer cost on accessories like I did!

Don't mind my ribbing. Before my coffee, I don't even know my own name!
