First of all they just came out last week, the new f150 has been out for a while and im just starting to see a couple around. Second of all Nissan plans to sell 100,000 a year a fraction of f-150 sales. I have seen a titan in person and it definantly is a full-size truck.

the only thing that sucks is the fact that somebody else always comes here and trolls and STARTS the whole process---I have not once gone to a Chevy, Dodge, Toyota, site and started a thread saying how great Ford is and that all you dumbasses who spent $35k on your truck are stupid and start laughing about problems they are having- what is your point? If i liked the Titan, why would I come over here and start talking to Ford guys about it? Nobody here gives a rat's *** about it so dont throw up friendly discussion. I would go to a TITAN spot, or Nissan spot and try to talk about it to people who would help me, kind of like I do here. There is no point coming here unless you :::::wants to start something----that is the sole motivation, PERIOD! Somebody comes over, throws up "all the problems" the new F150 is having---(which really is not many, and my uncle just lemoned his 03 Silverado, and also if you believe a BRAND NEW truck line like Nissan is not going to have a couple of glitches you're crazy)---but people love to gloat in others misfortune, which I think sucks---then throw in a few LOYAL Ford guys to add some gas to the flame by bitching about why people cant post an opinion, but if you look, just about every LOYAL Ford guy has an older model than an 04, so draw your own conclusions to their motivation---if you look at old posts, they have basically been negative about the new 04 for a couple of months, HMMMM wonder why?? Basically I just think it is BS that someone starts these posts, and then points the finger at Ford Enthusiasts (hence the web page name) and acts like we are the a$$e$ who start everything and cant accept other trucks----Go to a Chevy site right now and start something like this thread and I guarandamntee you it will look just like this one by the time its finished---the Titan is a huge rival right now because one, it is coming out the same time, two it is a challenge to the F150 and has stole some of our thunder, and three, I think it is a nice damn truck---but quit throwing stones at us when basically someone comes and insults us and starts crap here because you know how it will end up---ITS A FORD SITE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD-----AND A 2004 THREAD as well---

1. Titan is a nice truck, might be as good or better than F150
2. granted Nissan and Toyota help drive the market and keep prices down and quality up with the big three here
3. Profit is ultimately going to Japan, dont see how you can deny that, Nissan employees and their retirements thank you
4. can understand why you would buy one,,but pisses me off to have them thrown in my face and people talking about all the PROBLEMS with a truck I just paid $35k for

Thumbs down

Well, it kind of looks like the Titan at least "wants" to be like the Ford? Why else would they copy the Ford interior down to the basic styling cues. Just like Toyota designed the Tundra to look like the 97/98 4x4 Ford trucks. A near exact copy also, just flipped the corners lenses over, and smoothed it out a bit more.,,,,98

Guys,

I honestly think Ford has an excellent truck and probably the best available. In order to continue in that direction you have to look around and compare yourself and keep rising the bar. I'm sure Ford engineers probably have a few Titans taken apart and being examined with a fined tooth comb in some shop somewhere to see how competition is doing things. That is the reason when something good is done you usually find it in all manufacturer's vehicles with design variations. i.e. cruise control, intermittent wipers etc.... I do not own an 04 wish I did. But I had a 97 and currently have 00 Lariat.

P.S. To say Ford is the best untouchable, king of the hill etc...is one thing but I know a few people (including myself) that have been plagued with rough idle, door cracks and door/tailgate bottom rust and very little done about it from Ford.

If you think Ford is pouring money into the US economy that maybe but also think of the billions in pension shortfalls!!!

I'm not a very big economics person but, if more people buy Titans that are made here in the U.S. then yes profit goes overseas, but if more are being bought then wont that money be re-invested into the U.S. to produce more? Wouldn't that create more jobs and actually help us, which is totally opposite of what everyone else is saying?
