My FX4 screw is here

My Fx4 screw is finally here, ordered on 9-5-03. I drove it home in the snow Thursday night. I will say this , the hard workers at the Ford plant in K.C. deserve a hats off for this truck, it is flawless. I am smiling everytime I drive it, plus lots of positive comments even from chevy owners. I traded in my 97 F150 scab offroad, which is a great truck in its own right, but this one is sooo much better. Has anyone noticed this- when sitting on level pavement with the tranny in drive(engine running, foot off the brake pedal) the truck will just sit there?

I wish I could but I need to invest a digital camera first. I have seen a couple of other trucks on this site that are almost identical.

Black FX4 supercrew
Black cloth seats W/flow thru console
Trailer tow
pwr seat
mirror pkg
18" wheels W/LT275-goodyears
Cd W/cassette
3.73 axle

Congrats on the new truck! Just got mine about 3 weeks ago after having my old truck 11 years. What a difference isn't it!!!

Anyway, I have noticed what you mentioned. The truck does not move when taking your foot off the brake in drive. In fact, if you are on a hill it will actually roll back. Doesn't bother me a bit. Kind of reminds me of many years ago when I had my last clutch/stick shift.

Must haev something to do with the tranny or torque converter design. Plus, the idle seems on the low end (but very smooth)

Have fun with the new ride!

If it rolls back, your torque converter is bad, am I right?

Yeah, mine will roll backwards on a hill while in Drive also. Anyone else notice theirs doing this?

Congrats on your new ride blkfxrscrew. Just in time for the winter!
