Rear Seat in SuperCrew
Rear Seat in SuperCrew
Well, I finally had the time the other day to look over and drive a new 2004 F150 SuperCrew Lariat 2x4 5.4L. Must say it's a very nice truck. One thing though that struck me, was that it appeared as though the rear seat back in the truck I drove sat at a more upright angle than the seat in my '01 SuperCrew. It even felt that way when I sat in it. Is it just my perception, or did Ford change the angle of the rear seat back in the new truck? I hope not, as the comfort of the rear seat in my truck was a major selling feature. I really like the new truck, but I've got some more miles left in my '01 before it's time to replace it.

This is my first crew, so I can't comment on the comfort of the older models. However, two weeks ago me and two friends took my Lariat Screw to Dallas and back for the CycleWorld show there. One of my friends is a gf, and she loves to drive, so she did most of the driving, which left me and the other friend to rotate between the front pax seat and the rear. I must say that I DO NOT LIKE the rear seat in this truck. Now, I am a six-footer with long legs, so maybe this seat works ok for shorter people. In fact, my other friend, who spent most of his time back there, said he found it extremely comfy. The only thing he complained about was that the audiophile bass was real boomy, and when I got back there I noticed that same thing, too. But, I just could not get comfortable back there. I reckon I'll try to avoid having to ride back there.
