2004 F-150 owners looking for more performance

To all 2004 F-0150 owners:

We are just about finished with the tuning R&D on the 2004 F-150's. We anticipate being complete on this within about 10-12 days, and then we will be SHIPPING!

During this next R&D session, we'll be getting the info on final power gains once the tuning is actually finalized - then the final dyno pulls can be made. (So please, no 3 dozen posts in 10 different threads all asking what the power gains are - they aren't finalized yet.)

When it is finalized, we'll make that announcement once we actually have that data - but you can generally expect about the same rough power gains that we're making on our *current* tuning for the 1997-2003 F-150 V8's (which are 8-25+ HP gains, depending on what octane level (87-93) & the specific tune, whether it's towing compatible or not, etc.)

We can actually do them right *now*, but we want one more round of R&D sessions over the next 10-14 days or so with a few more vehicles to finalize - and I would prefer to wait until after this next R&D session is over to actually provide the tuning publicly.

So the bottom line is, tuning will be available for 2004 F-150 owners in about 2 weeks the way things look right now!!

Things like intake kits are in the works - anyone interested in any other performance parts for the 2004 F-150 should give us a call to go over the details. This is one area where it pays to *not* be in a rush, as due to many new aspects on the 2004 F-150's, significant additional R&D is needed for positive results with things like the different air intake tract design with it's expansion chamber and the fact that there is no longer a separate MAF, but instead MAF electronics stuffed into a calibrated air tube, so the the entire assembly is calibrated, thus any changes will potentially alter A/F's, timing, etc. - so this is taking significantly more R&D than it did for a good intake tract on the 1997-2003 models, and for just about any other vehicle.

We are working closely with Air Force One on their intake design for the 2004 4.5 & 5.4 F-150's, and we're down to 2 basic designs - we'll be testing those designs for them here, looking not only for best all-out HP, but also for part-throttle torque - the *key* to actually improving driveability & power on part-throttle, especially with the all-new intake tract design for 2004. We are already taking orders for them, as there is a big demand for this product - those who want it should either email us to get on our list to be notified as soon as they are actually shipping - or you can go ahead and place your order on our web site at www.TroyerPerformance.com - your credit card will *not* be charged until your product actually ships.

On the exhaust side of things, we have very good news - Magnaflow's systems are already shipping!! Their system for the 2004 4.6 & 5.4 F-150's in regular cab, extended cab and SuperCrew started shipping last week, and are flying off the shelves. You can place your orders right now on our web site - once again, at www.TroyerPerformance.com (that info should be up by tomorrow, Saturday December 6th, sometime in the afternoon)

Many of you are looking for performance upgrades for your 2004 F-150's for Christmas - within 1 week, we will have complete performance packages listed up on our web site that can be ordered online in time for Christmas! For those that don't want to wait, call us now at (540) 862-9515 to place your orders right away.

Congratulations to all of you 2004 F-150 owners - *quality* performance parts are very quickly becoming available for the P221 platform (that's the 2004 F-150's platform designation), with much of it happening in time for Christmas.

Please feel free to call us at (540) 862-9515 for details & info on the parts you want for your 2004 F-150's performance!

significant additional R&D is needed...with things like the air intake tract design
Those expansion chambers designed into the stock '04 5.4 3V are there for a reason. At least Troyer Performance acknowledges that their product must consider the need to accommodate that design feature. I wonder about Airaid's new offering for the '04?
