Anyone tried the "Test Mode" in their '04?

Haven't tried it yet --- anyone out there that has?

Haven't tried this, specifically, but did do the self test with the message center.... for the Lariat.

Wow, that's pretty slick. It works on my FX4. There were alot of different codes from the Mustang site, but it's there. Some of the better sets were the digital tach and voltage meter.

I cannot figure out how to make it work on the Lariat as there is no trip reset button.

what about the reset button for the trip computer?

I tried all the buttons and had the computer in different modes but no luck.

For me it worked fine... Except that the Speed E it shows was precisely 2 less than what my speedometer showed all the way from 20MPH (it showed 18) to 65MPH (it showed 63)... wonder why that is?

One problem I noticed with my Lariat is that the speedo is 3 MPH fast at all speeds. I dont know if it is epidemic or not?

Well, I have the 255/65r17 tire package on mine... Dealership said that when they calibrate everything to work for the larger-than-normal-stock tires... they only recalibrate the guages, not the interior small computer (if that makes sense). They said "Trust your guages." so I guess I'll trust that for now.

It makes sense, because having larger tires would make my speedo appear to be going slower than what I really am doing by how it reads...

Oh well...
