HomeLink Transmitter

Can one get the HomeLink Transmitters aftermarket. I would like to have those because it would get rid of the bulky remote for the Garage Door Opener.

I think you can buy the Homelink visor from Ford for $300

I will post a link if I can find it back.

Zacky,

What do you mean it is one tough mother to setup? Are you kidding?

I set mine up last night and it took 3 minutes.

Pretty slick unit.

Freddy40, this is off topic here but in your pics I see splash guards. Are they for guards and how do you like them? Bit hard to see but it looks like you have them on front and back.
Thanks

Talking Off the Subject, also

I was noticing your vehicle, freddy. Is the Reverse sensing system going to get low enough to notify you of that HUGE CANINE you have in you driveway?

Poppy - Yes I have the Ford Splash Guards on each corner. The dealer installed them when the truck came in. I like them alot. They fit nice, have a good look to them and appear to be tough. I purposedly ran over a parking bumper the other day, forgetting I had the splash guards. The front ones hit the asphalt on the other side but no damage was noted. I am sold on them, besides they sure do keep alot of crap from hitting the rocker panels.

YellowFX4SCrew - Not sure! Hope to never find out! My wife would be devasted should something happen to our only child. I do think the sensors are very sensitive and would most likely pick up her presence. Gotta tell ya that since we got the truck, we use the heck out of the backup sensors.

I messed up on the first try its a canadian thing are door transmiters work diffrerently not continuous tranmistion so u have to hit the door opener button continuously

well to be chewing gum and pushing buttons and clicking door openers and reading manual at the same time is little overload

I know this post is a bit dated. I was wondering if the anyone could verify whether the Homlink system could be added to say a 2004 FX4? One person comment that the visor is available from Ford Parts... is that all that is involved? Are there any other components other then the visor?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Ray,

Go to the homelink websit I posted above and see if they could help you out a bit.

Also you can get transmitters in all different sizes. I put one on my polaris ranger that is for the keychain. That is slick.

have fun
