VIN Explanation PLEASE!

I have been around this forum for a little while now and have my truck on order. I have even had my VIN number checked by our nice friends from Ford who provide us with this invaluable service BUT I really have no idea what the different dates really mean!!

The obv. ones like arrival date and ship date I understand, but what are things like Segment date? Sequence date? Blend date? I guess it won't really make any difference in my getting my truck but it would at least make me understand what I am reading...

Thanks in advance!

neptuno1,

Segment Date = "The date that MP&L determines which week the order will be built"

Sequence Date = "The date that MP&L determines which day the order will be built"

Blend Date = "The date that MP&L determines when the order will be built within the assigned day"

DBader,
Thank you so much for the explanation, I was worried no one was gonna help me out! Now although your explanation was great the last thing you have to clarify for me is 'MP&L' ? Sorry for the bother...
