How about a 110 converter/outlet. This feature would be great at tailgate parties. Imagine watching the NFL today show or FOX while grilling sirloin and drinking brews in the parking lot. Plus, you wouldn't have to lug around the big generator. Perhaps when the 42V systems arrive.

BTW, go Patriots!

I certainly second the back seat issue. I really liked the fold down steel back seat of my 98 Scab, and am really disappointed with these new fold downs.

Use more quiet steel and sound deadening mat in floor to get it even quieter.

HID headlights

Add "liners" to the wheelwheels that are thicker than those in front and absorb more sound and add them to the rear.

Defroster vent in b pillar to clear rear side windows in SCREW.

DVD based Navigation system with a BIG screen (like Volvo)

Bluetooth handsfree system option

two 12 volts Power outlets inside the center console and one 110v

Add at least one overhead storage (sunglass) with Sunroof equipped models

Better floor mats as factory option- Larger and molded.

Easy way to add XM or Serius

Seat bottom cushion needs more upward tilt in front. Size of seat is great. It is BIG like we need but is not ergonomic. Again Volvo has some great seats so you can take a few from them.

Window switches that you push down to open and pull up to close (child proof, so they can't push button down to close)

LED Interior Instrument backlighting like Navigator

Keyfob that locks tailgate and starts engine from factory

Dual zone climate controls, rear fan control for SCREW.

Silver and Grey Exterior option in Lariat

Make it sit level from factory

Key like a Volvo (fold up switchbalde)

Quiter Exhaust

Put audiophile subwoofer in center console to free up under seat storage. Same with Jack, relocate to underhood or somewhere else.

Clean Diesel engine option. Small diesel is great, good mileage and it does not need to be a SuperDuty.

Overall the is the BEST f150 ever and I'm loving it more everyday.

It is a great truck now. Let's make it even better !!

04 Improvements

Illuminate the stereo volume **** and O/D button

Adult size rear floor mats

Remove cup holder in lower door panel

Satellite radio option

More Lariat paint options

Relocate or change 4WD switch, can be confused with fan switch
that looks identicle at night.

Apply finish to valve cover metal

Please don't restrict the flow anymore! Do you work for an aftermarket exhaust company, dlewis1340? This would make business boom for you.

"Still, 4-point harnesses likely are 5 to 10 years from reality and a decade from being universal across the board, in Rouhana's opinion."

that'd be cool to see, but I don't think it is going to happen for the next complete redesign. thanks for the article.

Some of you need to go buy a lincoln towncar or something... No wonder why trucks are turning more into minivans everyday, and less into rugged towing/hauling machines.

Bleh, this thread is disappointing.

Vocabulaic,
Dude, I think that your dog must **** in your cereal each and every morning. You are one of the most negative people I have ever had to suffer through. It seems like you are always bashing what others have to say. One of these days, maybe you'll learn that you DON'T have it all figured out after all. I wonder...

Hardly negative at all. If anything, some of the other comments are negative - hell, downright insulting to any vehicle that is going to be called a truck.

I'm sorry if I come from a farming background and see trucks for off-road use, towing, and hauling, rather than something to bring my kids to soccer in - never use the bed - and get it because i like to "sit high" or "feel big"...

....sigh.

Thank goodness...
I know I'm too "rough" with my opinions at times, and with my background I do use a truck differently than some people... but when people start talking IRS and all that - I see myself buying any pickup I can get right nwo, so that 5 years down the road I'm not stuck with some inferior "new" piece of machinery because someone wanted their TRUCK to ride like a CAR.

/rant over.

- Return to the previous style tilt wheel lever...'04 lever sucks.

- Move outside temp display to overhead so others can view it.

That is why they are called options. That is why there is xl, xlt, fx4 and lariat. The Lariat needs to stay on top in the competitive light duty truck market and offer the latest in performance, technology and safety/convenience.

Right now GM has the upper hand with electronics technology (XM radio, Navigation Radios and OnStar/integrated Handsfree phone) I still bought a 04 150 because it is the better truck and I can integrate many of the thinks I want but OEM is nicer in many ways.

All I want is a nice truck that does not look like a "fleet" special inside. The new Lariat is a good first step. Now just get the latest electronics technology inside.

A little luxury and convenience and Quiet will not turn a truck as tough as the 04150 into a car.

I still haul, hunt and tow plenty with my truck thank you.
