Question Rear Of Regular Cab for a shell

I was told that the rear of the Cab for camper shell purposes of a Regular cab is somehow different than that of a Super Cab or the Super Crew, However I went to the dealer to compare and they all looked Identical as far as the shape etc. best I could tell. Has anyone heard of any differences as far as cab shape facing the rear? thanks in advance

That was true of the 97-03 models.
The angle difference was impossible to see witrh the naked eye but, rubbing at the top would occur when the wrong one was put on.
Maybe whoever told you that was relying on that info or maybe the difference is still there with the new bodystyle.
