I don't get it... I know other manufacturers have been HUGELY successful in making exactly the same vehicle and badging it with different brands (and adding a bell or whistle) and making it a totally different vehicle. Hence, Chevrolet / GMC pickups but, why should Ford even consider this?

I know the market that they're attacking but, I don't think that using the new F-150 to attack this market is smart. The Blackwoods fell smack dab on it's face and they could barely move the ones that they made. What will make this one any different?

I love the 'wood. It's an AWESOME truck and I even priced a used one out of Texas a few months ago and gave SERIOUS consideration to getting rid of the King Ranch but, gave up when I thought about the purchase from a financial standpoint...

I just don't get it. At least the Blackwoods had a unique look to it, even though it was a SuperCrew. That picture simply looks like a new 04 SCREW...nothing more. Yeah it has a different grille... well, whoopteedoo! LOL! I like it but they're going to have to work hard to set it apart from the rest. Otherwise, it's just another F-150 in my eyes.

Nope, not buying it. If youll notice the F250 rims, the not so smooth lines on the grille. Another photoshop creation. Lincoln would not put something out that looks EXACTLY like the F150. And I cant remember the last time I saw a hood ornament on a Lincoln. Try again people. And even if they were doing it, like the F150s look like the Expys, the new lincoln truck would look like the navis. It looks nothing like it.

What a terrible photochop that is. Truly sad. I can't decide which detail is the worst. In the end, I think the grill is the most amateur element of this obviously fake photo. However the wheels and fender trim are a very close second.

Don't choose the thumbnail picture when you go in and get the vbcode... Choose the fullsize picture.

Oh yeah, and I think it is legitimate. Sure, the picture might be a photoshop creation however, after we saw the blackwoods, which was, again, a SuperCrew for all respective purposes, I see no reason to believe that we won't see another Lincoln vehicle sitting inside of a Ford body. Keep in mind, they're one in the same when it comes to the FoMoCo family.

Hell, the Mazda Tribute and Ford Escape are the same vehicle (with the obvious differences in badging and brand name). Why would this be any different? What do you expect them to do to make it different? Well, the answer is, they'll do very little.

It'll have more bells... more whistles... more luxury. But, deep down inside, just like the Blackwoods, it's a Ford Truck.

I think its a mistake. What could they put in the Lincoln that isnt in the Lariat?

Maybe the Lariat should have even nicer trim making it Lincoln-esque and restoring XLT to where it should be as the high level trim package (not like it is now which is the work truck with AC and power windows)

Big mistake. It will just dilute the equity in the Ford branded trucks.
