The radio will stay on until you open the doors. (that is after you remove the key)

yeah, it says AC even if it is heating. i guess their reasoning might be that it is conditioning the air even when it is heating it. most people think cooling when we think of AC. i guess they are using the label a bit liberally. whatevers, it keeps the temp right, that's all i know.

Of course it is - unless your auto temperature is magically set to the exact temperature it is outside. The Auto Temperature control should measure the current interior climate and adjust accordingly... using the AC to do so in much quicker htan magically trying to come up with cold/warm air from out fo nowhere (or other paths).

Yes, AC has gotten some confused, AC is air conditioning - not air cooling like some believe it to be. It is still "conditioning" the air regardless of whether it's heating or cooling.

Same thing happens on mine. I think it is because we haven't had any really cold temperatures here yet. I'm waiting to see if it happens when it is in the 20s outside.
I believe that in all vehicles, the A/C comes on when you turn on the defrost if the outside temperature is above a certain level. The A/C takes the humidity out of the air and defogs the windshield faster.

The A/C indicator & compressor will come on until the outside temperature reaches approximately 34F. This is normal operation and works the same way on the manual systems. The compressor runs in all modes except "floor" and "vent" although you can't see it since there is no indicator. Now if they'd just put the word "Auto" and the "Defrost" symbol in the display area. You CANNOT see those dinky little indicator lights for these two modes in the daylight.
