What exhaust system did you install on your 04? Are the dual rear pipes custom fit to clear the 18" tire? I want to do the same once I get mine. 04 FX4 Screw.

I had a muffler shop in town use a stainless Magnaflow 14" single in/ dual out muffler and custom bend all the pipe. The pipe is 2.5" in and dual 2.25" out. I had them go with a smaller out diameter so I don't lose too much backpressure and torque. The tips are Silverline stainless 17" long I think. The tailpipe sections mount on hangers that are attached to the rear leafspring mount. They originally installed a 22" magnaflow muffler, but I couldn't even hear it at all. The guy said that the cats on this truck make it quiter than normal. The 14" muffler definately made it louder, but when cruising on the highway it is really pretty quiet. Loudness is pretty comparable to a Flowmaster 50 series. If Magnaflow made a kit for the '04 I would have probably gotten that, but I can't complain about the work I got done.
