Hemi problems

 

Yea, that's some pretty serious stuff going on over there. My buddy broke a valve spring in his Dakota with only 50 thousand miles on it and ruined the engine. This was after a bunch of tranny issues. Sounds like it's carrying over into the Hemi's..

 

Wow,, scary stuff. Least it happened under warranty. I'm not usually an extended warranty person but makes me think it isn't a bad idea. Maybe I should consider it this time? Not that I expect a big problem but I have been pretty lucky with my vehicles. For the most part have never had anything major go wrong. My lucks bound to run out sometime,, probably a week after 3 years.

 

How funny, an 8 page thread on how ****ty Dodge and Dodge service is. LOL

 

People like that thread starter are the reason why I do not work in retail or customer service on any level. The owner is mainly upset with the service at his dealer, and then takes everything else out of the whoel company. Quite irrational IMHO.

Blown motors? Well, I don't think a stuck valve or broken valve spring is a very serious problem, unless it is more common. I tend to agree in general with Spooly on the first page. The failure rate is quite low.

Ford and GM have engine problems too. Wasn't ther someone here with 3V 5.4L problems already? And since when is Ford dealer service any better? One particular visit triggered the selling of my Ford car because despite having only 25k miles on my 100k warranty, I didn't want to put up with it.

Dunno what this has to do with 04 F-150, though.
