X-Plan questions and more...........(newbie)

Hello guys/gals,

First off, great site I have received lots of good information.

My main question is have any of you purchased a vehicle, especially a '04 F150 through X plan? I can get X plan pricing through my work and am planning on purchasing a '04 Supercrew fx4 or XLT in the next few weeks.

Do you all have any advice on what to look for, what to test out on the truck before purchase?? This is my first "truck". I have a Exploder I am selling and have had many mustangs/cobras.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to reading and writing to all of you in the future.

Thanks alot, Tucker!!

I have a problem, though. The site for my local dealer had the company I work for (Best Buy) listed as an "affiliate". Now, I cannot find the list anymore. When I try and find a list of affiliates I get nothing.

Does anybody have the list of companys that can get xplan pricing?

If I cannot get it, I might not be able to get this truck, which would kill me

Sorry, I can't help you find out if you are X-plan eligible. Maybe someone else can answer that one. Your employer should be able to supply you with a pin #.

You say that you may not be able to buy without the X-plan. I assume that this is a pricing issue. If you surf through some recent threads in this forum, you'll see that many are getting invoice pricing (or better!) without too much trouble. In some cases, invoice price is lower than the X-plan price, so don't get too discouraged. I am X-plan eligible, but I'm buying at invoice because one of my rebates (AQHA) isn't compatable with the X.

I would suggest using the internet to get quotes from different dealers. Tell them up front what you are willing to pay. This is a great way to weed out those who aren't budging on price. It also saves a lot of time and eliminates those ugly face to face negotiations.

You can try,

www.cars.com

for quotes.

Good Luck.

Thanks Clem!

I will look into the invoice pricing at some of my local dealerships and see if they can work out a deal with me.

I am so excited to get this truck
