Question Bottom Line/Oil

Most of us that now have an '04 have changed or will be changing their oil soon. I have done a search on this site and the consensus is....yes go with the Mobil 1 0W20 or the Ford Motorcraft 5W20............is that still the case???????? And if you are not convinced that synthetics are the way to go what is the alternative????

Of all the Fords I have had this is the most kick-*** high tech awesome ride that I have ever owned..........I wanna keep it that way!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also convinced it needs an extended warranty due to that fact.......see our fellow list member........XCR440SP....for the best extended warranty prices.

MODS....Ventvisors/Lund Shield/ARE LSII/FREE Bedliner thanx to this forum as usual!!!!!!!!/and an F-150 bedmat which is really nice!!!

See some pics here....................

Contrary to Popular thought, Which oil you use makes no difference..never has, never will. Use whichever oil you prefer. With Synthetics, Your truck won't last a bit longer, it won't run better, It's not "better" for it and you will get rid of the truck long before you see any problems related to what brand or type of oil you used.

Just use the correct weight (or close too it). A person can go on and on and on about Synthetic this, synthetic that..Dino this, Dino that. All your Triton needs is sufficient clean Lubrication so whatever you use, Change it out when The Manufacturer recommends. However....

USE A QUALITY FILTER !!!!

The Last I checked they were pretty good, remember Ford does not make their own filters..just stamp the name on it. The last I knew, Puralator was making the filters but that can or might have changed. Mobil 1, K&N, Purlator Pure One, Napa Gold (Wix) are good Filters

Amsoil also makes a good filter. Check net page, claim to be better than Mobil 1

As I understand, and I believe it has been well documented and proven over and over, synthetic flows better-more easily and has a longer life (up to 7500 mile) than regular motor oil. My opinion has been influenced by a friend who is an engine builder for a major NASCAR Team. Tthere is a DIFFERENCE! Also, designer oil, ie Sports Car, Truck 4x4 etc is different on the molecular level.
