Hi y'all,

I ran across this site the other day after taking my first test drive in an '04 SuperCrew, and have already absorbed a lot of great info. One thing I was wondering, does Ford allow you to "custom" order trucks at all? The reason I ask is because I want True Blue exterior in a Lariat, with tan leather. I also want the Arizona Beige stripe on bottom, but I can have someone spray that fairly cheap. If I can't do a custom type order, does anyone know if the color scheme will be expanded for the Lariat models? I think it's pretty silly that I have to settle for either an FX4 without the interior options that I want or for my second, or maybe third, choice for exterior color if I go with a Lariat. Thanks for any input, and thanks to the creators of this site!

It's funny. I was hoping that they could make a True Blue Lariat as well. The response I got was that it wasn't a possibility. I ended up with my second choice- An Arizona Beige Lariat. I liked the Lariat package much more than the FX4. Maybe 2005's will be available in True Blue? Im not willing to wait around to find out!

 

I had a similar problem when trying to decide between a Lariat or FX4. I liked the added features of the Lariat (heated seats, MPG display, etc.), but really wanted a Dark Shadow Gray exterior and gray leather interior. This is the main reason I finally went with an FX4. Ford used to offer this color on the Lariat last year, so why eliminate it this year? It's not like it can't be done. I heard they can paint one vehicle red, the next one white, the next one green, all in a row, in the same paint booth. I will never understand Ford's model exclusivity with paint colors.

By the way, I really like the True Blue color as well. I saw an FX4 in this color and it almost made me wish I had ordered this color.

 

You can not custom order your color choice.
Go to Ford.com and build your truck. It will tell you what colors go with what package.
For instance : in Lariat -only colors are Wedgewood blue-Arizona beige-Aspen Green-Black-Oxford white-Bright red-Dark Toreador red, Also all avaliable w/ Arizona beige lower two tone.
Check the Ford web site it will also check your local dealers for camparible trucks.

Zacky- I can't wait to get the truck. The color grows on me the more I see it. I'm glad to see that after owning one with that color, you'd still be interested in buying another.

my second choice is Az Biege also. The one I test drove was that color and I loved it. I am going to wait a coulple of months just to get some money saved up, but I should be ordering sometime right after Christmas. I can't wait to officially join the owners club.
