Tonneau cover troubles HELPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

Went today after work to have the Tonneau cover installed I ordered over 3 weeks ago. While they were preping the truck I was going over the cover which is a fiberglass cover from LEER painted to match the truck.I found several flaws,a hole in the fiberglass slightly smaller then a dime with two smaller holes around it ( they said most likely this was from an air bubble in the fiberglass that popped before curing),what looked to be like two small cracks where the piano hinge is that crossed one another making a T, scratches in the fiberglass that were not sanded out and when painted stood out.I understand that the covers are not going to be perfect but this was a bit much. They said they would send it back to be repaired or replaced and that they would order another cover from a different company FIBROBEC a company in Canada. Can anyone recommend a good tonneau cover.

THANKS
MR

GO WITH THE ARE
I LOOKED AT THE LEER AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE LOCKING MECHANISM OR THE QUALITY OF THE COVER.
THE ARE LS II IS THE BEST COVER I BOUGHT MINE AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT
JUST MY .02

I toatlly agree with SteveV and Shawnp582. Get the ARE. I've had one on my 2000 F-150 for 2 1/2 years now and no problems.

I am more than pleased with my new ARE on my Lariat.

If there IS a downside it is the fact that it raises the rear deck even more on what is now a higher bed than the previous F150.

I never noticed before the need for help with reversing, but I now feel I should have the reversing sensors just as an extra precaution when backing up.

I bought my truck off the lot so it didn't have them....and quite honestly if I had ordered it to spec. I don't think I would have seen the need for the sensors.

Now however I will be seriously looking at the possibility of retro fitting them.

Leer has had that problem with imperfections for years. In 95 my dealer ordered a total of 6 covers for my truck and finally gave up and no longer sells them. Every one was flawed. It had something to do with the process in making them. ARE uses a different process and material. If you buy an ARE before the end of Nov you can get a coupon for a free remote lock / unlock for it. The coupon is on the ARE site.

04 Lariat (building it on Monday)
