FINALLY saw my first '04

I know this is old news to most of you, but being overseas this is a big deal for me. The Exchange New Car Sales dealer here finally got an F-150 on his lot. Nothing special, it's an XLT, SCAB 4x4 with 5.5 ft. bed. I ordered my 4x4 Lariat SCAB in August for delivery next June, and I wondered if mine might be the first one I would see in person. The XLT was a nice enough truck but now I'm really excited to know that my Lariat should be all the more nicer than this one. I didn't really like the 5.5 ft. bed, it just looked like it was missing something (like a foot of bed!). It had the overhead rail system, no offense to those that like this, but d@mn am I glad I ordered the sunroof. What really impressed me, and was one of my biggest concerns not having seen one in person, was the rear seat room in the SCAB. Compared to Chevys and GMCs, the back seat of the SCAB is very roomy. I'm only of average height, but I set the drivers seat where I would most likely have it and I had plenty of room to sit in the rear seat. I know it will have plenty of room for the kids and the dog to ride but I also think I could ride comfortably back there if I had to. I was not really impressed by the seat fabric but I figure the Lariat will make up for that. Only 215 more days...
