OK...So who will poney up and do the NAV mod already?

I need to see how it works out before I try it...

And I'm lookin' for the fixed screen variety, not the slide out and flip up kind. Those leave too much 'filler' space to be taken up by blank plastic.

Something like this...

What do you mean? When the screen is in, it looks like a regular stereo headunit with a display. Maybe I don't understand what you're trying to say. Could you please clarify?

The NAV units with the screens that motor out are normal single DIN style sizes when closed.. The stock radio in the F150 is easily double-DIN (maybe a tad bit larger). So if you only have that single DIN unit installed, there will be a lot of blank black plastic filler above and/or below it. Just doesn't look that great to me. The fixed screen variety looks like it would fill the space the stock stereo takes up very nicely.

Does that make sense?

AAAhhhh, now I see what you were saying. BUT.....the Nav system headunit is SEPARATE from the monitor that folds out of the dash. It is a separate headunit that mounts right underneath it therefore eliminating any empty spaces. I am getting a Pioneer DVD/Nav system with that particular setup. It is in the mail right now, but I will post pics as soon as I get it installed.

Bigjim

Hi, I was thinking Kenwood's touch screen.

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2551

But I fear having something very expensive like these in the car. I have a bad experience ( I have got my truck broken in once ) although I have very bad sense of direction so I like to have the system but...

Enjoy your truck!!

All I saw was the pic from the SEMA Show, but there were no details posted with it. I believe the truck was customized by Classic Design Concepts. Here is an outside shot of the truck:
