Good. I got that with my Explorer 5 years ago. I was hoping I'd get it for this.

Did you have to do anything special for it? I bought my STX off the showroom floor. I wonder if I should have received more "things"?

No it came marked as a gift from my local dealer but the box had the Dearborn, MI mailing address all over it. I had no idea I was going to get it. I had read in an earlier thread that someone tried to buy touchup paint from his dealer and was told that it wasn't available yet. So I was surprised to get this.

Yes, that was me. I wasn't trying to buy it though, I needed a "Touch-Up" due to a poor Factory paint job! I think my problem with availability is the the "Blazing Yellow".

I think if you buy one, you get it sent to you eventually. Regardless of where or how you purchased it. When I bought my Explorer, they even sent me a set of directors chairs. Still have them too.

I haven't recieved paint yet, but probably will soon. Recieved paint, directors chairs and eddie bauer luggage over the years. What I would LIKE to recieve is a certificate from fomoco , saying , you are a good customer , and take this on your next purchase, and recieve additional 5% discount , or something simular. Now that would reward customer loyalty.

something for nothing from Ford?

Hmmm.... there is more to this. The touch-up paint is probably sent so you wont ask for a repaint from the body shop.

The truck didn't cost nothing. I wish it did.

Yep, got my touch up paint also the other day. Bought the truck off the lot too. I got the same when we bought our '01 Cobra. We will probably get a magazine called My Ford. It has your name & vin # printed on the inside of the cover. Maybe even a 1 year membership in team Ford racing.

Bought the truck off the dealer lot, got free touchup paint a couple weeks later, along with some brochures etc.

It's probably going to come any day now, that's (2 months after purchase) about how long it took for mine to arrive. They also give you a free subscription to the Blue Oval magazine

The touch up paint and later "My Ford" magazines are paid for by the dealer. This is an optional program and not all dealers signed up for it so some people may not get this. Also it can depend on delivery type. For example I didn't sign up for it on Fleet sales, but did for Retail and red carpet lease sales.
