Talking sa-weet!

Just picked up my new 04' screw after work tonight! I am so stoked right now. Called everyone I know. Since your are all like my family now <sniff> I thought I should tell you too. I'm tempted to post all the smilies in pure jubilation but I will refrain.

Sold my car today too, so I had to get a ride to the dealership. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes thanks to D-plan.

Checked out Car Toy's alarms afterwards. Saw a nice Pioneer GPS touch-LCD setup for $1500. Then the sales guy told me I also would have to by the other peice for another $1500. Um, that'll have to wait.

I just bought the Pioneer NAVSYS910-DVD. Is this the system you were looking at?

Big Jim, where did you put your navigation system? How did it get installed? How do you like it? Does the LCD screen pop up when in use, then go down when not in use, or is the screen visibile at all times?

I haven't installed it yet. It is in the mail right now, but when I get it done, I'll let you know.

Yep, that's it. Much better price. I didn't think it would fit in the truck though. For one I'd have to take out the stock 6disc changer.

Yes, although you could PROBABLY put the 6 disc changer somewhere else in the vehicle, but I'm not sure. Actually I got mine for even less than what that website advertised. Mine came out to $1916 including shipping, and I didn't have to pay tax because it was out of state. MUCH better deal than what any store around me is asking for them. I saved about $1000 dollars. If you are TRULY interested in ordering one for that price, e-mail me and I'll get you the info. The only downside to the place I got it from is that it took him about 3 weeks to get one in stock.

I'm picking mine up tomorrow after a 7 week wait. Seeing the positive response to the truck on this forum has been one of the best things for me as I would probalbly be considered frugal (the truck I'm replacing is a '90 Ranger with 200+). Without that kind of feedback I would really have a hard time spending this much money............... What color did you get? Mine's Black/Black and so far I tink I made the right choice.

Hey, Stook. I've had black vehicles for years - may favorite color on cars/trucks. I decided stick to the dark side but I went with the dark shadow grey with black cloth interior. I think it looks really sharp. What really finishes it on the outside is the 18" machined aluminum wheels. (I'm just not looking forward to buying my first set of replacement 18" tires $$$). Congrats on your new ride too!

That's a great choice too. The best post I saw on it was the guy who said his Drk Grey looked like it was "chiseled out of stone". I have to agree and if that doesn't say "tough truck" what does?? These trucks just beg for the 18" wheels, hopefully by the time I need some, the prices will have come down a bit. Many happy miles...........
