Last night it rained , then froze. While starting the engine this morning, I noticed 21 small ice cubes in the cowling detents just to the right of the driver's-side windshield wiper post. Those detents don't drain...apparently to provide cover for a wiring harness below.

I noticied that the other day...couldn't understand why one side was draining and not the other...

 

The wiper motor is right underneath. They are annoying though.

I am going to try and make little horizontal holes so that water drains into the ones alongside until it gets to the ones that drain out.

Worth a try.
