Angry Order/Production issues What to do??

Well, as some of you may remember, I ordered my truck on 9-10 and then week before last I was told that Ford Regional had gotten behind it to see if they couldn´t at least get a vin and a production date since it has sat with an unscheduled-clean dora for over a month now. They assured me that last Thursday they would have a vin and this Tuesday they would have a schedule. I go by there today since all has been silent and they tell me that it was passed over for production and still no vin. They also tell me that production times are nearing when the plant will close for the holidays and that if it doesn´t get scheduled this next week then it will most certainly be after the first of the year. Heads up to those of you with pending orders. They say that they have their highest priority on it and that Regional now has their highest priority on it but the biggest hold ups are the two tone package, the LT tires and the bright tubular running boards. Funny there are three on the lot now with those same running boards. Anyway, should I wait it out or just try to change my pin for D plan over to one that comes in or that they already have in stock? They have a couple of nice trucks just none of them the blue two tone I was wanting all monotone and only one FX4 that is all silver. Starting to have doubts if it is worth waiting another few months.

oh boy...

I initially ordered the FX4 on 8/25 and just got the VIN this week...but no production date yet. So....if it's not till next year I am gonna wait....over 4 month. I don't believe you. No offense...

Good luck

You'll know tommorrow if it scheduled this week. It won't schedule next week as they aren't sceduling anything to make up for Job 2 changeover:

XLT Optional 17" polished aluminum wheel replaced by 17" chrome steel wheel

Standard Lariat radio changed from Cassette/CD to single CD

FX4 will get vinyl "slush" floor mats as standard equipment. XLT will get these as a no charge option (code 21V) if desired.

As to the first of the year thing, we are getting very close. It would probably make it if scheduled in the next 2 weeks, but not guaranteed. The holidays seem to take 3 weeks away from us on production and delivery. The SuperCrews I had schedule last Thursday are scheduled to be built the week of Nov 10th so this week should be Nov 17th (rough guess). Next week skips Thanksgiving, the next week should be first of December and that about as close as I'd cut it to making it by the first of the year. After that it very posibly could get deliverd, but no guarantee, I've seen it go both ways.

staying positive

I am pretty sure the people at the factory is working there a$$ off and they do deserve taking vacations like we do. I guess the patience will pay big time in the end as we will enjoy the flawless truck eventually. Just hoping I get mine this year though.

happy halloween

Does this mean that they will no longer offer the polished aluminum wheels? That's what I have on mine and I like them. Are the chrome steel wheels less expensive or better?

They will NOT offer the polished aluminum. The Chrome steel is cheaper and thats why they are changing. However, many people prefer the chrome steel look as it is shinier. These will be wheels like the F-250 XLT Super Duty standard wheel (not for looks, but thats how the chrome will work) if you want to get an idea what they'll be like.

I am in the same dilemma as Redstorm. Ordered mine on 8/21. Still no Vin# or build date. The last time I spoke to the salesman on 10/23 it was unscheduled/clean. He lowered the priority from a 20 to a 10.

Hopefully the Jolly Fatman will deliver it.

Hey XCR, is there any way to find out what is holding my truck back? I have a build date of 10/22 but still no gate release or ship date. I called my salesman...no info. I emailed ford customer service...no info they told me to talk to my salesman. I just dont understand the hold up and why nobody can give me any info on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.1FTPX14KB44600 Yellow Scab FX4

Update

Sure hope you get some good news soon!

I am posting this for support not to rub it in. I ordered my FX4 Screw on 9/11 and went to look at it tonight at the dealership. I stayed away from two-tone (I really wanted a monotone truck anyway) and polished boards due to info on this site. At the time of order my dealer indicated that an "expected" delivery date for the truck would be 11/06. It came in three days ahead. It is really crappy weather here right now, so I would not have wanted to take it home in this weather anyway, will pick up on Wednesday. Hope yours comes soooon..................

Seems like there has to be some other factor holding up your order - remember the squeaky wheellllllll
