Question for BIGMACFX4, Screwbuilder or Lightningkid

In all the latest VIN checks, I noticed that all the trucks that were produced on 10/20 & 10/21 the last thing showing is gate release, on the same day as produced date. But 8 days later, there's still no ship information. And everyone is pretty much spread out over the country.

BIGMACFX4, I know you said your system has accurate update problems every now and then. But do any of you guys know what the "usual" lag between gate release and ship date is?

I'm assuming that it's possible some of these rigs have already been shipped and just aren't showing. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your most likely right that most of the trucks have shipped allready --- the lag time is to fill the train -- IE if your in MI like me and no one else order an F-Series or Escape (same plant) then in would sit until it can find some friends for the ride -- just like on the line a hole in a train car is lost profit for the shipping company.

deadheading

Damn that sucks. I can understand why Ford wants to limit deadheading, but that doesn't make people waiting for their trucks feel any better

I sent an email to ford customer service tonight asking them what the holdup on these trucks is. When I get an answer I will let you guys know. Lets all hope its just a lag in the computer updating and all our trucks are on there way to our dealers right now.

My thoughts exactly on both points!! Ford is going to have some pi$$ed off customers on their hands if this lag keeps up .... especially if it gets any longer! I understand it takes a while to build and QC test a vehicle. It's the lag after that's done that's the problem. I just don't get it. Nothing I can go about it though, but wait. Oh well.

Let me be very clear -- the VIN checks that I'm doing are to help -- If everyone is going to get a bug in their shorts and be POed because of shipping updates delays or whatever I'm sure I can find a better use of my time -- now slow down take a breath and relax

BIGMAC..please dont get me wrong, I truely appreciate what you have done for me and all the others, and im not POed at all, Just a little dissapointed that my dealer has no info for me and in my case I have to drive 4 and 1/2 hours to the dealership which is in another state. So im trying to get my insurance and motorvehicle stuff and whatever else in line. Its just frustrating to know my truck is built and just sitting somewhere just waiting to get shipped.I just wish I had a date when it will be shipped. Sorry if I came off the wrong way,, you are the man and we all appreciate it..thanks 1FTPX14574KB44600 Yellow Scab FX4

Going back and re-reading my posts, they may have come across wrong. I'm not PO'ed .... more disappointed than anything. The point I was trying to make is that you can't please everyone. Even if you do your best to help folks out, there's always going to be some "bad apples" in the bunch. I'm in the same boat as BREWDUDE, except that I have to drive 6 hours.

@BIGMACFX4 ... hope you didn't get the wrong idea about me from my posts, but it sounds like I helped push you that way. I truly appreciate the "service" you provide here! Please keep it going if you can! Thank you!

Just to clarify BIGMAC, when you say that I'm most likely right that they shipped, do you mean I'm most likely right they've shipped from plant to the train? Or, I'm most likely right that they've shipped from the plant to the train and the train has already gone?
