3 Weeks no vin # on my Fx4 Scab Flareside

I was hoping to shop for a thanksgiving turkey in the new rig.

Don't know about that. Ordered a fully loaded Lariat in the middle of August just got a build date of November 4th on it yesterday.

 

Geez, my loaded Lariat was ordered on October 16 and eight days later I had a VIN and a build date of Nov 10. Why the huge discrepancies?

Ordered mine on 8/21. Still no Vin# or build date. The last time I spoke to the salesman on 10/23 it was unscheduled/clean. He lowered the priority from a 20 to a 10.

Orignally ordered the Bright Tubulars Bars but seen them on another Screw on the lot and I did not like them. Having dealer install crome side step bars as listed in the 2004 brochure under accessories.

Hopefully will have before X-mas?????

 

I think the moon roof's are slowing them down. I ordered my Dark Shadow Grey FX4 Screw in late August and was driving it 4 1/2 weeks later.. No moon roof.

 

No holds on moonroofs but there are holds/delays on LT package tires and two tone trucks.

 

Well, it certainly seems i'm not alone on this one. If it's a factory hold up, I guess we have to learn to except that. I only hope this isn't dealers taking their sweet time to place the orders so they can combine the shipping with other cars or trucks.
