Cleaning question??

Man, that front end will be hard to keep clean from the bugs. What is on the market to clean a front like these on the new '04? Does anyone make any kind of bra for it? I got mine on a lease,so I need to keep it up. Thanks

Good question. I was going to ask the same thing. Is there a product that will work on the chrome AND the paint?

Cleaning your truck

Mikey, I can't really respond to whether or not their is a bra or something of the sort to protect the front end, but my guess would be there is, or shortly will be. There are a number of types of bug deflectors out there but I'm not a big fan of deflectors as I like a clean look on the front end. I'll soon be looking into what TekBargains mentioned as I'd really like to know how it looks when installed (i.e. can you tell it's there) and also how it looks after it's taken a few thousand miles worth of bugs, rocks, etc. In the meantime, I'll just make sure that I keep a good coat of wax on it, and then wipe it down with a detail spray in between wash jobs. Good luck

Of course, alot of elbow grease and a good car shampoo is the best way but, going with a bra might be good as well.

One thing to consider when selecting a bra is the 'rub effect' that *WILL* happen. Make sure that the bra doesn't end up causing more problems than it prevents.

Are there any sprays out there that somebody considers better than the rest? I've got one kind that doesn't work at all. I would like to know what the BEST bug remover spray is.

I own a auto garage and also detail cars. There is a company that sells PRO products that are designed for detail shops check with your local dealer. They probably have a supplier if not I can get you my local dealers number and have some shipped. Their a bug remover is unbeliveable, you won't belive how wonderful it works.

I've always used this stuff called, Bug & Tar Remover. I don't remember the company that makes it. But it's usually found at any Pep Boys or auto shop. Even Wal-Mart and grocery stores.

I have used Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover for years and it works well-recently they came out with a spray can (yellow can) which works great. Quite an improvement over the liquid stuff. I highly recommend this product and of course a good coat of wax to protect the grille and make the bugs, etc. easier to remove.
