More than that though I didn't want my comments to appear as too pompous and overbearing, or to have caused any offence.
I'm sorry but they consistently do. You need to know that before you post again.
So....I'm sorry...been there...seen that...done that....not just as a cliche...but for real !!!!
....Softly softly...catchee monkey.
Be sure your words will come back to haunt you....
Hmmmmmm
I'm afraid I will neither look at or reply to further posts on this topic, because I cannot deal with that level of arrogance and ignorance.

I was merely trying to point out a statistic.

If you ARE too arrogant or stupid to understand then I can't help...but then those are the very sort of people we see in our courts all the time
Thanks for your concern. I don't remember anybody asking for your help in this thread. The level of arrogance and ignorance here is amazing.

You have to be careful with statisitcs you get on a BBC documentary. As it was pointed out in a previous post, the bumper height of these vehicles may correlate much more strongly with pedestrian deaths than the presence of the bull bar itself. Without more data, you can't make any definative statements regarding bull bars. Protest groups are just as likely to skew or misrepresent statistics as are the corporations that want to sell you a 4x4's. Thanks to your posts, we are all fully aware of your credentials now. You need to know however that you are not qualified to make any judgements regarding this issue.

Mmmmm......Veeeeerry Interesting !!!!!

But Stoopid !

You may be justified in your opinions.....I may be justified in mine...

But nothing....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...gives you the right to say...

Were YOU qualified to make that statement about my views ?

I think not.

Any validity in your previous comments was destroyed by that one comment, since you can have no knowledge whatsoever of whether I am qualified to make those comments or not !!

And with two posts to your credit I wonder about your understanding of the way these threads work !

(Unless you are reposting under an assumed name)

You say

I never knew that to post a comment one had to be asked for help in the first place !

PLEASE don't ever get into debating....you will be ripped apart !

Jeez guys just stop. Is there really a need to start getting into personal attacks over a grill guard? IMNSHO the moderator ought to close this thread (if he can do that) now. Nothing new is getting said on the matter and it's turning into a flame war.

As far as I'm concerned both sides have presented some interesting points. But, both sides are also acting really childish. So just knock it off.

I'd say go have a beer but maybe that's not a good idea.

I made no claims whatsoever. I said that watching a BBC documentary about bull bars doesn't mean you know what you're talking about.

PLEASE don't ever get into debating....you will be ripped apart !
That's an interesting comment coming from you since it appears you didn't even read my post. You're in a flame war you can't win here.

Fair point (breser I mean)....occasionally these "debates" (read heated arguements) do go on.

Just as well sometimes otherwise things can get very bland.

Does it matter if people occasionally speak their minds....as long as there is no personal abuse or profanity !

In actual fact I did want to draw a line under things and thought I had done so.....but someone else thought otherwise !

However I do agree with you and I will not add any more to this "debate" !

Still got to have the last word then....!

Or didn't you read the post carefully enough to see why I reneged on that statement.

Methinks you have some sort of chip on your shoulder !

come on now... I posted this so people can see what my grill guard looks like so maybe it will help other people decide if they want one for theirs,

Not to turn into a pissing match on who is the better debator.

and previously I made some immature comments and it was brought to my attention and I edited them... I now think "PLEASE don't ever get into debating....you will be ripped apart !" is also an immature comment and needs to be edited...

This was again about how a Grill guard looks... PLEASE post about it on this...

I would like to thank Robb for posting his photos of his Ranchhand, and also others who kept to the initial subject.

Interesting discussion. I never would have considered vehicle/pedestrian consequences when mounting a grill guard. On the other hand, I don't want to live in a world where we are completely removed from all risk. Our litigious ways have lead toward a "baby proof" society, and were all the babies. As for the guards, the most common use I see of them is on police cruisers. You know, the ones that protect and serve.

The guard does look great on your FX4. That truck, in that color screams to be taken out and run hard.

Question

How far does the grill guard stick out past the hood?Does the unit tilt or something in order to open the hood.Has anyone installed their own grill guard yet.

It tilts out to allow for the hood to open.
it hugs the front pretty close when not tilted forward
