Talking Its Paid For !!!

Hi everyone I recently received my custom ordered standard cab, short bed pickup... Best truck I ever had ... rides like Caddie Paid cash 26 K out the door.. I could have saved a ton of cash on a 2003 but had to have the 04 I'm sure you understand

what do they mean when they are talking about 1/2 or 3/4 ton???

Its a 1/2 ton. Ford doesn't build a Regular cab short box 3/4 ton.

These are old nick names that have stuck around. They really don't mean anything now. People generally refer to 150 (or 1500 series trucks as 1/2 tons, 250 (2500) as 3/4 and 350 (3500) as 1 tons.

Actually, the old F-100 was the 1/2 ton, and the F-150 was the 3/4 ton. The numbers (100, 150, 250) behind the F referred to the weight that could be placed in the box. For instance, the F-100 could take 1000 pounds (1/2 ton) and the F-150 could take 1500 pounds (3/4 ton), etc.
