My Dealer sat on my order for a whole week and didn't do anything at all with it !!! What part of $500.00 cash didn't they understand. Here I'm looking for a vin and they would like to sit down and discuss my order a week later to see if I've changed my mind on anything. Is this a dealer policey???? to let your order hang out and collect dust for a week to see if your serious.

But now I'm having second thoughts about the flareside thing...............to flareside or not to flareside.that is the question.........

How long usually from the time the dealer gets off his a** and orders this thing do I see a vin # ???

 

I ordered mine on 08/11/03 and according to the dates I got from BIGMACFX4 it was serialized on 08/28/03. I am guessing that is when the VIN was created.

I placed my order with the dealer on 9/4. She entered the order on 9/4. The order was accepted on 9/4.

Sounds like your dealer forgot about it. You can make any changes you want to your order, supposedly up until you have a VIN. Maybe even a litte after, after one has been assigned.

All they have to do is make the change in the computer.
