Airbag Off Lamp....
Airbag Off Lamp....
Is this suppose to illuminate when nobody is sitting in the passenger seat? As I understand it, there is a weight sensor that enables and disables the pass. air bag, but how do I know when it is disabled?
The only time I've seen the PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF light illuminated is when I start the vehicle... then it goes out. Regardless if someone is sitting in the seat or not, it does not illuminate... which indicates to me that it is ON.
The verbiage from the manual:
"When the front passenger seat is occupied and the sensing system has turned off the passenger’s frontal air bag, the passenger air bag off or pass air bag off indicator will light and stay lit to remind you that the front passenger frontal air bag is off. When the front passenger seat is not occupied (empty seat) or in the event that the front passenger frontal air bag is enabled (may inflate), the indicator light will be unlit."
Maybe I'm a rock, but I'm not getting it.
I'm just wondering if it's working properly in my truck... ??
