Question Interior Lights

Is there any way to stop the map/dome lights from coming on when u take the key out of the ignition? (Lariat SCrew)....for some reason I just don't care for that.

Scroll through the menu on the message center. I think you can change it in there. Autolamp... you can set the duration.

Autolamp (on Lariats) is to control how long the headlights stay on after your shut the truck off.

If you turn the dash light dimmer all the way down it turns off the dome light even with the doors open.

I had to do the same on my 2000. Its in the manual, but I cant remember if it was in the alarm manual with the keyless entry info or in the actuall owners. By the way, day two after buying my truck and I still dont have it yet. Trade in/Selling dellema im trying to resolve.

I know what you mean. I don't like people to see in at night. It just kinda makes me feel like a target for anything. What I did in my 2003 was put a dim LED in the dome light, but left the regular bulbs in the sides that are switched. This way the light still comes on, but it's very dim, just enough for me to see what I'm doing...
