Stillen T-Rex Billet Grill

I spoke to Andy down at Stillen about the billet grills for the 04 F150. They have both the insert, and overlay "clamp on to the old insert and look like crap" styles. Odd that the overlay style costs more...

The part number and price for the insert are:

Part#, Description, Price
16552P, T-REX 04 FORD F150 BUMPER BILLET INSERT - POLISHED (7 BARS) Horizontal, $152.31
1RM2289FP, 2004 FORD F-150 BUMPER GRILLE - POL Horizontal, $115.38

They're located in my neighborhood, gonna go down and check 'em out tomorrow and talk to an installer. Don't worry, I'll bring my digital cam

They also have verticle lined billet grills, not sure how that'd look.
TTFN.

Hay Perceptron if you could get some pics I sure would like to see them. are those polished stainless steel tube grills. there isn't much info on the sight I could find. I was looking at at bolt on tube grills by stull in summit and liked them. if you get a grill from them I sure would like to see pics.

Ok, so I went by Stillen's shop yesterday at lunch. The sport truck salesman was away on personal business (he didn't know I was coming), but I did get a chance to visit one of the head techs.

Turns out, they were working on a FX4 Scab to be their show truck at the SEMA (Las Vegas) show. WOW, they had the bed off and front end disassembled...I can't remember everything I saw but that'll be one heck of a truck.

Interior, they re-upholster all the seats with bright blue and yellow (leather?), looked like a blue and gold macaw. He said they were paining the exterior to match tomorrow. Shouldn't be hard to find at SEMA.

They'd installed the tallest airbags I've ever seen. They have 3 settings for height, lowered, normal, and lifted, I didn't get to see it in action though.

One of the smallest, and I think coolest things, was they took out the completely useless coin holder, and put in a 2" pressure gauge for the airbag system. This started my synapses firing. What I'd really like there is a dual axis inclinometer, but I couldn't find on online. What I did find were these: AUTO METER gauges. They should compliment the lariat dash gauges.
I plan on putting a clock on the left and a voltmeter for my accessory battery on the right (in place of the power connection), unless someone can find me a dual axis inclinometer

They'd also installed a new exhaust system and some 6 piston disk brakes (read $$$$$$$$$).

I took a look at the grill, and it's obvious that any aftermarket grill will involve cutting out the honeycomb molded portion and coming up with a way to mount the new insert. He suggested doing a good sanding after cutting to smooth it out and repainting for a nice finished look. They hadn't gotten around to installing the billet grill on this truck yet.

Now, I know what you're thinking, WTF are the pictures?!?!?! Well, I wasn't allowed to take any You'll have to go to SEMA to see it.

Edit: Correct spelling, thanks Brewmaster

They don't have many photos on their website, so my guess is no. Their catalog features one of their previous show trucks (white/orange) when I saw in their lot, so this one should make it into their next catalog at least.

Perhaps if someone on the board is going to Vegas they can take pics.

Here's a pic of the truck Stillen was working on during my visit, looks like they have some front camber problems with that adjustable lift they installed:

I have the Carriage Works grilles on my 04 SCrew - gallery has some photos. Followed the above links, but no picks of what Stillen is offering. I have the replacement grilles although they do offer a bolt-over which doesn't seem like a proper way to install something.

Actually Stillen has both a bolt over and replacement types, but even the replacement type requires cutting the honeycomb plastic out like one of the carraigeworks grills. This leaves the 1/2" plastic between the grill and grill shell.

I opted for the Carraigeworks' insert replacement grill identicle to yours Daneo2. Got it from the same source you did no doubt.

I have the upper and lower grills now...just no truck
