Rear floormat replacements

Has anyone replaced the rear floormats with something better, like the Catch All Extremes or the Husky floormats? I think I am going to break down and buy the Catch All Extremes, but I wanted to know if it is worth the extra money to replace the rear mats.

bigsherm77, I know you were the one pumping up these mats. tell me, how do you clean the mats? are you pleased with them? did you do the rear mats too?

I can only say I replaced mine with the Nifty catch-alls because the rear floor mats that came with the truck were a joke. They were made of some great material but were the size of 2 sheets of paper. The fronts were better but I decided to get the set and make it all match. If you plan on having folks climb in the back seat and you are where there is snow or mud, well worth the price.

It doesn’t matter where you start from, it’s where you finish..

clarkn, first of all that is a damn fine looking truck. i love my black Scab, but that made me jealous. makes me want to get an FX4 so I can get the true blue. very, very good looking.

am i seeing it correctly that the rear mat goes all the way across the back floor, covering the small hump that runs down the middle? that looks really good. have you tried cleaning them yet, or are they not dirty yet...

hey brew, I have not ordered the back set yet but am thinking about it. The fronts have been great so far but I havn't cleaned them yet. When I do, I will just hose them off and scrub with a soft brush if needed. I wouldn't try any chemicals on them because it may make them slippery. I will wash mine either tom. or wed. and post some before/after pics.

I have to agree with BrewMaster. The true blue is very striking! I'm also wanting to get the FX4 and am tossing up between the true blue (maybe even with the two tone like you have, it looks so good!) or the dark shadow gray. The blue was the first to catch my eye, but the gray is growing on me more and more. You have a very good looking truck, clarkn!

Cheers.

Just put them in the other day so I haven't had to clean them yet. I think I will just use a mild soap and water and if they need a bit of shine, maybe a very light coat of 303 protectant. I don't think it would make them too slippery. The rears do go all the way across including the hump. They fit like a glove.

Also, thanks Vertigo and BrewMaster for the kind words. I haven't seen a 2004 that I didn't like yet, but I was partial to the True blue two tone combo.

Clark

I cleaned the nifty's for the first time. Took water, a brush, and about 5 minutes.

How are those Nifty's? Are they hard, plastic looking or more on the rubbery side and pliable? I'm debating between those and Husky HD's.

I got the Nifty front and rear mats. They are great. Check my gallery for a pic of the rear.

They are rubbery and pliable. They hold their shape very well but can still be bent and...(I don't know another word) bent easily as well.

rear mats look good DaleF150, but I don't know about putting the stock mats on top of the niftys. looks kind aof hokey IMHO.
