Has anyone experienced a Transmission Malfunction readout? We have experienced this twice.

 

Don't understand your post. Are you referring to a malfunction where you put it in drive and its shows Reverse for example or are you referring to a problem where you put the truck in drive and its in neutral or 2nd?

 

Start the car, put it in drive, drive about 1 mile or less and a warning light comes on saying Transmission Malfunction and the O/D flashes.

 

i haven't heard about that happening yet, although someone else here may have. take it back to your dealer and make sure they give you a good reason why it happened and explain how they fixed it. please let us know what happens.

 

Happened when I was pulling a camper.....never had the problem since. Not sure what caused it.

 

My freind at work is having a shudder in his 2004 when he is backing up. This happens when he gives gas when backing up. His is in the shop..

 

I have a buddy that is seeing the same thing....they used an additive in the rear end and said it should clear up within the next 1000 miles.
