Saw Armada...gonna wait on the Titan

OK, so I have a '97 Expedition (still running fine with 70k) and an '01 Lightning and am looking for a new SUV and larger truck.

Last night I checked out a new top-off-line line Armada and I gotta say, I would take it over a new Expedition and if the Titan is just as nice, I would consider it over the new F150.

I have looked at the Armada and Titan in pictures and had a tough time accepting the exterior styling. However, seeing it in person (dark charcoal grey) really changed my mind and I like it.
I did not drive it (yet) but from recent reviews, the power and
handling are there.
I was really impressed with the fit and especially the paint finish.
I have seen the new F150's and the paint itself looks flat and full of orange peel. The paint on the Armada was sparkling, smooth and really had some depth to it like you would see on a high-end vehicle. Besides the finish, the legroom was better in front and in the second row compared to our Expedition and the seats were quite supportive. The only negative seemd to me that you were looking higher through the windshield and there was less headroom overall, but not enough to affect your driving position. I do like the dash of the new Lariat better, but the Nissan is OK.

Anyway, it is worth checking out

You obviously missed Motortrend TV 2 weeks ago with the Nissan Titan review. They said that for Nissan's first attempt at a full-size truck that it's not bad, but it doesn't stack up to the new F-150 in the long run. It's only real improvement over the F-150 was it's 0-60...but if you ask me... IT'S A TRUCK. WHO CARES ABOUT 0-60!?

plus...the titan has to be the most ugly truck I've ever seen.

Last time I checked, it was still a free contry. If he likes the Pathfider Armada, and the Nissan Titan, than let him buy it.

I agree Freddy, but what do you expect from a Ford forum. people will jump on him like dogs to raw meat. indeed Nissan makes good products, no one can dispute that. just take a Maxima for a test drive and you will be convinced.

I know what you mean, but still, people need to know where to draw the line. The people on these fourms need to realize that Ford isn't the only manufacturer out there with some good products. Ford and GM both have really good products, and I bet everything I have that if they were to make cars together, they WILL have the best cars in the world. You see when one of their vehicles fall behind, the other one excells in that category.
Example: The new F-150 pretty much the best in everything, But it's the slowest of all the vehicles, let GM tune it up, put in some quality leather seats and put that ride sensing suspension, you pretty much get the perfect Truck.

I dont think anyone was implying or "telling" him to go with the F-150... just stating some facts about the product. Personally, I still consider GMC/Chevy to be the better truck overall (better resale, tons of awards... never saw an F-150 with an award or good resale value)... and their interior comfort is just better to me and they boast more power... i just also think that Ford is still a pretty nice truck and the 04' looks pretty hot and they seem to have upgraded it quite a bit for the 04', even though they lack of a plethora of options and pretty much force you to buy the FX4/Lariat to receive "half" of what you can get in other trucks... kind of disappointing really. But, i guess when your price tag is the cheapest on the market that means that you also lose a few things as a result...everything costs something.

If you like the Nissans so much why not just pickup and move to Japan.

Oh and when your New Nissan is stuck in the mud because your frame twists 8" to much in a rut don't come asking any AMERICAN TRUCK OWNERS to pull your wannbe 4x4 out.

BTW this IS a Ford Forum....

First of all, did I say I wanted to buy a Jap. car,...no. As much as I know they make the best cars and SUVs in the world, I don't like them, simplely because their Jap. name plates. So don't go acussing me of stuff you know I don't want. Know if you weren't talking to me, I'm sorry, but if you were, then you can go to Japan and buy their trucks.

I said this already, and I'll say it again, I AM very Loyal to Ford, 15 yrs. of loyalty and I am not about to be pushed around by you or anyone else. OK!!!!

Again, if you weren't talking to me I apologize.
