Ordered It!!!

My first post here,, hey everyone.

Well, placed my order last Saturday. Ordered an FX4, flareside, red w/grey, 18" wheels, LT tires, captains, audiophile.

Got it for $500 under invoice with a remote starter thrown in. Feel pretty good about it but keep thinking there's going to be a catch or surprise somewhere (so far it's been fairly smooth).

Excited as can be. Been planning this for a long time but was spurred on when I had to have my 93 Silverado towed for the 3rd time this year. Yes,, an ex-Chevy owner (or soon to be). It's going to be much tougher waiting the 6-8 weeks than I thought.

Anyway,,, learned a ton from this site already. I'm sure I'll ask some q's in the other sections.

Ron

Welcome to the "wait" club

I ordered a Scab Lariat 4x2 6.5' Bright Red/Beige Two Tone 40/20/40 tan audiophile 35.7 3.73LS Tow Package Reverse Sensor Bright Tubular Boards
Ordered 9/24, no vin yet. Got it for invoice (I paid fuel and fdaf)

Only F150 guys will be able to make sense of all that

PS. beware of reading too much, you'll end up spending a LOT of money on add-ons.
I have the Daystar kit and Catch all carpets already, and as soon as they're available, a Bedrug and Leer Shell. Will probably get a Stillen Billet grill (upper and lower) K&N filter and bug deflector.

I started by doing the online quote via fordvehicles.com, sent it out to 3 dealers in my area. Got some very interesting and diverse responses. I had to go back and forth and get clarifications on a couple and ended up with one saying $100 over invioce. I then let the other two know that offer, one would not match it, the other came back with $500 under plus a free gift (ended up being the remote starter). He said his general manager said to "do what it takes to get the deal". I called him the next day and set up a time to go in and order. I went in kind of expecting some sort of a "catch" but it went fairly smooth.

Having said all that,,, I think I just got very lucky. I'm not much of a negotiator. Doing e-mail's late at night worked for me. I don't have a lot of time anyway.

Yeah, so do I. I'm planning on trading her in so I can afford all my add-ons.
