Did anyone NOT order the flow through?

I ordered my Lariat with the 40/20/40 rather than the flow through. I've yet to see the split bench Lariat in person or in pictures. Has anyone seen/ordered/driven one with this seat? The main reason I love my '97 is it is the most comfortable cab I've ever ridden in and didn't want to lose that. I agree the floor shift looks great, but the console in my wife's Explorer has been the main reason I hate driving it from day one. I couldn't even find a non console truck to try out and now I'm starting to think mine will be the only one on the road.

Can You Say "Limited Edition"?

The official Ford 2004 F-150 brochure has a two-page (1-1/2) picture of the tan Lariat interior with the standard leather-trimmed 40/20/40 front seat on pages 32 and 33. Looks really nice!

I seriously considered Not getting it. Especially considering it's a thousand dollar option when you include the power driver captains seat which you have to have! I'm kind of glad I got it though. It's the first thing that people notice when they check out the interior.

Limited Flow Thru

Fordcountry,

In my area, the central valley of CA, the flow thru console is rare, very rare. I have the first one in my town, and my dealer said he does not expect any in for some time. I think the floor shifter gives the truck a little added style, but I must admit that if I were to use the truck for a work truck, the floor shifter would not be as useful.

My larait with 40-20-40 should be in any day. I drove both the flow through and the bench and have to say that the black leather bench in a black truck looks pretty sharp. I just thought it made sense if I was going to go for the SCREW to go for 6 passenger seating. The console is also very sharp but I gave in to practical.

I have a Fx4 on order and got the black 40/20/40 cloth bench seats. The reason I didn't want the console is because 1. The price and 2. I like to be able to reach the floor on the passenger side if I have to.

I also ordered an FX4 Screw w/ the bench. I'm 6'4" and the console was uncomfortable against my right leg.

Thanks for the feedback,

I've been driving my wife's Explorer for the past two days, and once again am glad I didn't get the console. Her console is much smaller, but sill makes me feel cramped and cut-off from the rest of the passenger compartment.

I guess you know your getting old when you go for comfort over style.
