Daystar lift yet?

I am suprised that nobody has levelled their new truck yet with the Daystar kit. I took delivery last thurs of my 04 arizona beige lariat 4x4 screw and expect the daystar kit to arrive around thursday or friday...will run to the mechanic and get it on ASAP. Also considering BFG TA KO 285-65-R18s when I can find some.

Considering it . .

Waiting until I get my truck in a couple of weeks and drive it for awhile. I really think it will improve the look and stance of the supercrew lariat but I'm hesitant as I don't know how it will affect the ride and feel of the truck. Also, my dealer told me it could void the warranty on the suspension and the transmission as well.

I was considering it but after mounting the bigger tires I'm happy with how it sits and personally don't think it needs it. I guess I'm not going for the monster truck look, just a tough truck look...

You think two inches of lift . . .

. . . is going to give it a monster truck look? Plus the kit is the cost of one of your new tires. All that rubber is a pretty chunk of change!

I was told by Ford when I picked up my truck that if I lifted or modified the suspension that my warranty would be voided..??

Sounds like a lot of dealers still have not heard of the Magnuson/Moss Warranty Act. If you modify something, they can void the warranty on the part of the truck affected by the warranty, but not the entire warranty. I would think that adding the Daystar spacers may void the warranty on your front coilover shocks, but the tranny? Come on! But some dealer can be real a@#holes about mods. If a dealer starts making comments like that, you best bet would be to look for another dealer that won't hardtime you about mods. There is already a pic of a new 04 on this forum of a lifted 04 on a dealers lot and another is saying a 2.5 inch lift will void the tranny warranty. Amazing isn't it?

Yea, you're not kidding! I saw the pic of the lifted 04 and it looked pretty cool. He had huge tires on it though. That's the look I was kind of thinking of.

I may be on crack but I swear the back end is settling down a little. Maybe the bigger tires just make it a little less obvious.
