What is audiophile (I assume subs), and can it be added in. I have the 6 disk change, but not audiophile. Is it worth it. Does anyone have pictures of the audiophile system.???

 

Audiophile is the updraded "premium" stereo system with 8 speakers and an 8" subwoofer (it may be 10, but I think it's 8). It also has various other radio features... It depends on what you want and expect, but to me it's well worth it. It provides great sound with clarity at low and high volume levels. I don't know how the regular system sounds, so I don't really have a comparison.

 

I've driven the trucks and listened to both stereos and the Audiophile is far superior to the standard CD player. I spend a lot of time in my truck and a nice stereo is mandatory for me. The subwoofer rocks and it's well worth it for only $500 more.

I don't know for sure, but I doubt it's something that could be retrofitted to a non-audiophile truck as there are additional amplifiers, subwoofers, and other speakers not already present with the other stereo/CD option.

 

i wouldn't trade the audiophile in my truck for anything. it is so nice. get it.

It is so awesome, that I refused delivery of my first ordered truck because it was mis-ordered without it. It is a night and day difference even between the upgraded 6 Disc Changer and the Audiophile. The ONLY negative is that it utilizes all of the the underneath rear seat space in a Supercrew for subwoofer and amp(s). The system sounds better than most aftermarket upgrades I've seen and heard!
