Bug Shield Recommendations?
Anyone want to share their recommendations for bug shields. I've seen a few for the new F150 including the one offered through Fordaccessories but haven't been overly impressed. I was hopeful that I could find one to match the body color (like I see on Dodge Rams). I'm also interested in one that does not require drilling. From a quality perspective, who's the best manufacturer? Thanks!
Bugflector II Colored.
I received my Bugflector II colored today (white #YX).

I checked out that site...thanks. For some reason the green they offer is not Aspen Green. Must be an older F150 green. I'll have to call them and give them the color code and see if they have it. Thanks.
I bought the Ford bug deflector for my '01 XLT and the dang thing has fit problems - it abrades against the grill surround and you have to really slam the hood to latch it closed.
I thought that by spending the extra $$ for a Ford bug deflector I would avoid this very issue but not so.
Don't know the situation with the '04's but I guess the take away from this is that just 'cause it's a Ford accessory that doesn't mean it will fit better or function better than any other aftermarket item.

Do they really deflect bugs?
I live in southern California, don't really have a bug problem but boy did the paint on my '93 Ranger have a lot of abrasion on the front of the hood. I do a lot of travel in Baja, the sand is a killer on the front.

I have the ford accessory one on my Screw and it fits perfect and looks great, even has F-150 on it.

I like it that Premier Motoring Offers the Bug shields painted. I haven't received my truck yet but does anyone have the paint code for the Dark Toreador Red so I can get mine ordered with the correct color?
